As we prepare for the 50th Anniversary of Alverno High School in 2010, it is more important than ever to stay updated about what is happening at your Alma Mater. Within these pages you will find user-friendly links to important information, such as an up-to-date calendar of events, a list of alumnae who work at Alverno, members of the Alumnae Committee, the most recent newsletters, and a place where you can post comments for other alumnae to read.
Your ongoing participation in the Alverno community is vital to the success of our school as we continue to provide an outstanding, college-preparatory education for hundreds of young women each year. Since the first class graduated in 1964, Alverno alumnae have gone on to become doctors, lawyers, accountants, teachers, mothers, scientists, artists, executives and entrepreneurs, living all over the country … and all over the world, including South America, Asia, Europe, and Canada.
We hope you find these pages useful and we look forward to seeing all of you at future alumnae events.
Sincerely,

“As we approach 2010, we can reflect on the 50th Anniversary of Alverno. Knowing first-hand what it was like to be in the first graduating class in 1964, I remember the newly-landscaped terrace, the fresh paint of the classrooms, and the excitement as we awaited Cardinal McIntyre to dedicate the school. It was special to us to see Mrs. Barlow attend this dedication and to know her vision for Alverno. I can still see the hard work of our “pioneer” parents who laid the groundwork for our school, and today, it is the alumnae who, working alongside the rest of the Alverno community, continue to support the school. We can all take credit for many advancements that have made Alverno what it is today! Now is the time to come together and recommit to Alverno as we prepare to celebrate our 50th year as an outstanding educational institution.”
